Environmental Degree Apprenticeship

Conall Lucey, who’s doing an Environmental Degree apprenticeship at our Carlton Bakery.

“My job entails a lot of data handling and interpretation. I help keep the site compliant with its permit and any other environmental legislation. I am involved in projects such as energy optimisation as well as the rewilding of external areas of the site to provide havens for the local wildlife.

This apprenticeship has given me many opportunities to develop my skills: I’ve been on courses to enhance my public speaking and presentation skills and my data and IT skills have been massively improved. I've had the chance to become internal audit trained and to see how a manufacturing site works.”
