"Current role and responsibilities:
I develop recipes for new and existing products under the Bisto brand.
Previous role(s) here or other companies:
I spent a year as a commis chef in my local pub, where I completed a level 2 apprenticeship, before joining Premier
What attracted you to Premier Foods’ apprenticeship scheme?
As with all apprenticeships, what attracted me was the opportunity to gain my degree while working and without tuition fees. I knew I didn’t want to follow the traditional university route so an apprenticeship was an obvious choice! What attracted me most to Premier was the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most recognisable food brands
What have you found most positive about your experience?
What I have found most positive is that apprentices at Premier are treated the same as other colleagues. Although I am still studying for my degree, I am trusted to take the lead on product development projects and have been able to support new starters in my team. This has given me a real confidence boost and consolidated my knowledge."
