Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Challenging myself by getting involved with numerous corporate and emerging talent tasks, taking part in insightful discussion led by leaders of divisions, and preparing a GC summit to attract current and prospective clients, which was then presented to two partners and my trainee host.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Incredibly insightful as you can never truly know the ins-and-outs of a business until you experience it first hand. At Shoosmiths, the firm's values are really emphasised and the commitment to developing talent from the ground up has really opened me up to the exciting potential of a trainee solicitor at the firm.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Inclusive and accepting to all walks of life. If there was any doubt that you could not be who you are and still achieve exceptional results, they were removed the second you began working in your team.

1. Understand who you are. Your uniqueness will set your application apart from others, so start writing down any extracurriculars, work experiences and life experiences that will sell you to your application reader.
2. Just as important as it is to know who you are, you need to know how to convey it in your answers effectively. Give examples, and talk about how it developed your character and what that can bring for Shoosmiths.
