Sustainability and Communications IP Review

On a day to day basis I have project work to do for both comms and sustainability. For example, working on an accessibility audit of Unilever.com and doing competitor analysis on sustainability in the FMCG industry.
I then have day to day tasks such as team meetings, checking emails for content requests, data reporting for the website and putting together a sustainability news letter.

I was given significant responsibility and felt like a valuable member of the team. I was given multiple projects that I was able to own and manage. You also are given the right skills and support to feel comfortable in these responsibilities.

I have developed my analytical skills, stakeholder management, commercial awareness, business acumen, critical thinking and communications skills.

I received great support and guidance from both within my team and also other departments such as the future careers and the learning team. You are given lots of extra opportunities throughout your placement to develop your skills. Both of my teams were very supportive and welcoming.

The company culture and atmosphere is great. From day 1 people are so welcoming and supportive. You are not expected to work horrible hours but are also given the right level of responsibility to feel you have meaningful work. It is also a socialable place to work with after work socials and sports teams you can participate in.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement year and would recommend it to anyone!
