Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Creating organic and paid social content
Optimising and updating web content
Converting and nurturing leads
Localising top performing assets from other regions
Working with an agency to produce weekly blogs

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes I was allowed to take ownership of projects when I felt confident enough to do so. I was also given tasks which contributed a great value of my team and also the wider company which meant that I felt that I was adding value to the company and in my day to day role.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have developed confidence and communication skills through presenting in front of large groups and new audiences. This has also improved my self confidence.
I have been able to train and work on new software such as adobe acrobat and photoshop and so I have been able to develop new skills.
I’ve been able to develop my skill of time management and balancing workloads as I’ve been able to get involved in extra extra curricular activities outside of my day to day role.

Throughout my placement I was offered support, this was communicated to us since the start. No matter what the circumstance was there was support and guidance provided and that was extremely valuable.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was inviting and friendly, I really felt like I was part of a team. Everyone is super welcoming and you are made to feel invited from early on. It is a great community atmosphere.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I massively enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend the placement programme to anyone. I was given the opportunity to be involved in valuable work, make great friends and connections and also learn a lot. I am definitely happy with the decision I made to embark on a placement experience!
