Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
The day-to-day job in Analytical Chemistry involves the release and stability testing of batches through a series of different tests such that involve techniques such as HPLC for assay and impurities determination, ID tests, appearance tests, etc.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
The responsibility given to me helped me boost my confidence in the lab setting.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have acquired a good understanding of analytical method development and validation, which was a completely novel and exciting experience for me. I have also gained multiple relevant laboratory skills, such as HPLC analysis, which is an extremely important tool in any chemical or pharmaceutical industry and that will certainly be useful in my career.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed learning new techniques and skills and to have a wider understanding of how industrial processes work, which was something I have always wanted to experience.
