Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Fulfilling and supporting customer orders
Forecasting and predicting stock
Managing internal orders
Working with marketing and commercial to organise stock for events

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

After learning processes, my manager gave me full autonomy over decision making in regards to both internal and external orders. This allowed me to showcase my new skills, and reach out to my wider team to assist me with day to day tasks. I think that being allowed to independently work has increased my confidence.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Throughout the year my manager has given me opportunities to attend events and meet new people, who have developed my interests. It has allowed me to ask questions regarding my current job path, and work with people who will help me achieve my goals. As a company I have also been allowed to access websites on the portal for external mental health support.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company from day 1 has been very convivial, and has included me in everything they do, including the conference at the end of the year. There is ample opportunity to get involved in everything and people are happy to take you under their wings.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I thoroughly enjoyed working in PRUK, and would recommend this group as a really fun place to work. I think it has executed a work life balance, and is truly an inspiration to workplaces.
