Taster Programme Review

The Teach First Taster Programme provides participants with a valuable opportunity to gain insight into the daily life of a teacher. Throughout the programme, we received training and support from Teach First staff to help us develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed as a teacher. The insight also includes debating, workshops, shadowing, and reflection where we could discuss various topics related to education and teaching. We also attended workshops on various aspects and given opportunity to reflect on our skills throughout the programme.

Participating in the Teach First Taster Programme provided me with insight into Teach First's mission to address educational inequality in the UK. Although the programme primarily focused on providing insight into teaching rather than the business side of Teach First, I had the opportunity to learn more about the organization and its values. I engaged with Teach First staff and participants who shared their experiences and provided me with insights into the various roles within the organization. This helped me understand the different career paths available within Teach First and the skills and qualifications required for different positions. Overall, the Teach First Taster Programme provided me with a holistic understanding of Teach First's mission and operations, inspiring me to consider a career in the organization and contribute towards addressing educational inequality in the UK.
