Building Surveyor Review

Working on various projects including, and not limited to: schedules of condition, heritage impact assessments, design work on CAD, writing specifications for works, listed building consent applications, contract work, sustainable practices in the sector. Working collaboratively with the Building Surveying and Architecture team to get work done efficiently.

I was given more responsibility than I was expecting. The team give you plenty to do and are always there to answer questions if you get stuck. The trust put in me was a shock because I was not confident in my own abilities due to my lack of experience, but the team have been amazing in supporting me through the year.

Developed interview skills and verbal communication through speaking to a wide variety of clients and colleagues.
Independence through solo site visits and being entrusted to do work by my more senior colleagues.
Professionalism and punctuality have hugely increased due to the flexible working environment and great example that all employees set

So much! I have an APC counsellor, supervisor and doctor to help kickstart the process to becoming chartered by writing my diary and getting my competencies ticked off. They allow you to work independently, also making it clear that if I am unsure of anything, they are more than happy to help.
Cannot fault the support I have been given.

I play football weekly at a local pitch with employees from varying sectors of the office. The atmosphere is one that promotes growth and wellbeing.
