I provide statistical support to scientists in the drug development process. Common tasks include:
Using SAS, R, and Statistica for analysis
Writing reports of my findings
Presenting results to clients
Chairing and attending meetings
Training courses and networking

I have developed my R skills, and have learnt new statistical packages from scratch, such as SAS, Statistica, and Design Expert. I have also developed my statistical knowledge from working in a large, diverse team.
Additionally, I have had opportunities to develop my presentation skills, in chairing my team's weekly meeting, as well as presenting to clients, and presenting to candidates in interviews.

As much as I needed. I could always contact my supervisor, manager, or any colleague in my team. Colleagues would regularly reach out to me to introduce themselves, catch up, and see how I'm finding my placement.
Additionally, regarding pieces of work, I always felt I could reach out to anyone in my group if I didn't understand something, or just wanted general guidance.
