Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

As a procurement operations officer, I help the category team at all stages of the tender process, including participation in stakeholder meetings, market research, and tender document creation and management.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I have taken the lead on multiple projects, building my confidence and experience. I am confident that my time here will lead to a role further down the line, due to what I have learnt.

From the very first day, I was welcomed warmly by the whole procurement team, with my line manager ensuring I settled in and was well prepared and comfortable for my internship.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The company culture was very professional with high standards. However, this did not result in a boring and toxic environment, everyone was super friendly and welcoming, whilst still putting hard work and dedication first.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have massively enjoyed my time here due to the welcoming nature of the team and the work that I have carried out. I can honestly say that it has felt meaningful and productive, and I would recommend this role too anyone who was applying.
