Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Summer Analyst role within Financial Advisory. Main responsibilities included preparing client presentations, market updates, use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Bloomberg.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a significant level of responsibility over the course of the internship. I worked on a number of projects within the team, and I was entrusted to communicate with clients and other parties on a deal.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
There were a number of support mechanisms and sources of advice in place, including an Analyst Buddy within the same team, a Senior Mentor, and an Intern Captain. My team were supportive, taking the time to discuss the industry and nature of the work in more detail. They were open to my questions and generous with their advice.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general atmosphere and culture is welcoming and collaborative. There were events throughout the internship both within the intern group and across the wider firm. It was possible to establish wider relationships and seek advice from different sources.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
The internship was very enjoyable. It was formative in allowing me to develop my skills and industry knowledge, and featured frequent social and wellness events with both the intern class and wider firm.
