Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was an intern working for the Manchester City Council, specifically the Flood Risk Managememt and Development Control Team. My day to day task mainly involved the reviewal of planning applications.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was designated my own applications to review weekly. Once I had completed them, my supervisor would check my work before I submitted it.

Yes I have gaibned various new mental and technical skills throughout my palcement. I think I have especially developed my time mangement skills, both in a personal and professional manner.

The atmosphere was good, a relitavely relaxed environment where everyone was friendly. It was possibly not as social as I had anticipated.
