Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
I joined Balfour Beatty as part of the Overhead Line Design team as one of their graduates and I found the experience to be very fulfilling and interesting. I found myself involved in plenty of projects, learning new skills and working on plenty of deliverables as well as getting involved with some other graduate programs like the Lake District Residential. I also travelled abroad to participate in conductor testing.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main responsibility is working on projects using PLS CADD and working on deliverables on projects. The deliverables I work on are usually varied so I work on plenty of projects and learn new techniques and gain more knowledge.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I am offered the opportunity to work on a variety of work for SSEN, National Grid and SPEN as well as engage in project calls with supervisors and given opportunities to participate in type testing, site visits etc.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I am given a competitive compensation package, with quite a few perks and benefits as well as a pay review every 6 months. I also have quite flexible working hours which is more convenient.

I receive plenty of support from my Line manager and Team leaders as well as from my fellow grads and colleagues.

I have a good work-life balance, with the ability to work from home 2 days a week with flexibility on which days I choose to work from home.
