Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
My time at Savills has been very positive, receiving strong support from all team members. I am exposed to various sectors as part of my work, with active, client-facing roles within project teams.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My main responsibility is to support more senior members in the team through a number of projects. This often includes report, letter and email writing for senior review.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Writing reports that eventually are presented to clients allows you to feel like you have meaningfully contributed towards a project.

Salary and bonus scheme are generally fair for the level of work expected from someone in my position.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I feel fully supported in my role, with a APC buddy system in place, as well as direct contact with senior members of the team continuously.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Generally, new skills are developed through learning on the job. There are some national opportunities for training, although these are less frequent locally.

We have a buddy system in place as a first point of contact. This works well, and ensures that I have someone to go to in all circumstances. This also supports my APC progression.
During busy periods, meetings can sometimes be infrequent, although this is understandable and does not impact the fact I could raise a problem at any time if needed.

How is your work-life balance?

There have been no expectations places on myself to work beyond working hours, unless in exceptional circumstances.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

As a graduate, we are expected to be in the office 5 days a week. This is generally okay as the culture within the office is great, some flexibility in this regard could be good.
How would you rate Savills initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

Occasional correspondence will be received regarding the events taking place on EDIA. There is also an internal internet page that is often populated with information regarding this, although more information could be provided internally.
How would you rate Savills CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

Savills offer a paid, one day a year charity day, where we will arrange to support a local charity. This year, we visited the local food bank and assisted in packaging food parcels.

The role was as described online. Having worked elsewhere previously, I had an idea of what to expected in any case.

Ensure that you have a strong background of experience. This includes work experience, examples of any university course modules of relevance. Generally demonstrate that you have tried to go above and beyond what others applying may have done.
