Graduate Surveyor Review

My experience at Savills has been highly positive. I have had the opportunity to develop my technical surveying skills while working alongside experienced colleagues on a variety of projects. The supportive and collaborative culture has enabled me to grow professionally, take on increasing responsibility, and build strong relationships across the business.

As a Graduate Surveyor, my role involves supporting a wide range of surveying and property-related instructions, including carrying out inspections, undertaking research and analysis, preparing reports and valuations, liaising with clients and colleagues, and assisting with the delivery of professional advice. The role also requires me to work towards my APC qualification whilst gaining experience across different aspects of the business.
The elements I enjoy most are the variety of work and the opportunity to gain exposure to different property types, projects and clients. I particularly enjoy combining technical analysis with practical problem-solving, as well as building relationships with colleagues and clients.

My role provides me with significant opportunities to contribute meaningfully to both team and client outcomes. I am trusted to take ownership of my work, collaborate with colleagues across different teams, and support the delivery of projects.

I feel that my role is preparing me very well for my future career. The graduate programme provides a strong balance of practical experience, technical development and professional training, allowing me to build the skills and knowledge required to become a well-rounded Chartered Surveyor.

I feel that the support I receive is very good. Throughout my time at Savills, colleagues at all levels have been approachable, supportive and willing to share their knowledge and experience. This has created an environment where I feel comfortable asking questions, seeking guidance and taking on new challenges.
