Overall, how would you describe your experience at Balfour Beatty?
My experience at Balfour Beatty has been incredible. There is so much to learn due to the wide reach of the organisation and everyone is extremely encouraging of your personal development no matter what team your in. Each day is different thanks to the fast pace of the organisation and the opportunities for problem solving are endless. The grad scheme runs alongside your day job meaning you are well connected with the UK wide graduate network and there are many networking and social events tailored to your development. This is a company where there is a bright future no matter which direction you want to go in, there is someone who can mentor you.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Learning about the Regulatory landscape of UK environment and construction.
Improving my digital skills on many different software systems and working to improve processes within the business.
Reaching out to wider Balfour Beatty teams for advice and career opportunities.
Partaking in the Early Careers scheme and the sustainability Sprouts programme for a more rotational insight into role specific areas of development.
