Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I am a Software Engineer working with a large 35 person team on a product. I do standard programming, investigations, testing, reviewing and merging.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I have been building real features used by the team and making real bug fixes used in production code by many devices.

Absolutely, my knowledge of low-level code is much more advanced, as well as my confidence and ability to work in an agile environment on a big team.
