Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I do formal verification on the L1 cache of a new CPU, using a technique called CG-SEC. Normally, it involves running simulations with modified code and diagnosing issues.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
A lot. I was trusted with an important part of the chip and encouraged to come to meetings and contribute.
