Overall, how would you describe your experience at DXC?
Great. The academic program has been very well run to get people into and used to the working world. The managers have been friendly and helpful.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I mainly do technical development on projects for internal purposes or clients. I enjoy learning and applying new technologies.

The Academic People Managers are great, and the buddies were helpful for the first few weeks.
How is your work-life balance?

The 1 work from home day is very beneficial in allowing me to save time commuting and ensure house chores are completed between work tasks as well as save money on lunch without having to spend time the previous night preparing.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

In the Newcastle office there is an almost boisterous air of friendly community. I promise it's more professional than that sounds!
How would you rate DXC initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

As an LGBT+ employee it was particularly encouraging to see DXC's presence at our local Pride parade, as just one example of the many initiatives DXC has in this regard.
How would you rate DXC CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

The code of conduct and such are very well thought out. So far I've not seen anything that contradicts that from DXC, but I would feel more confident with more time there.

Why?
It's been very helpful getting me started in the corporate and tech development world. The flex fund is good and the job encourages learning and developing yourself as a person.

Make the most of the learning resources in your first few weeks before your role is locked down, and try to get qualifications with that time.
