Overview of the Role
Overall, how would you describe your experience at Arm?
I really enjoy working for Arm. It is an exciting company to work for and has a great culture.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My role sits between technical engineering and business understanding as I work with both our internal engineering teams and external partners / customers. I am involved in shaping requirements for our new products and defining the strategy of how we take our products to market. My favourite part of the role is meeting with customers and understanding how the technology we are creating at Arm is being used across several industries.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I have been given so many opportunities to be involved in meaningful projects and I feel valued by my team.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

In addition to base pay we are given generous RSU (Restricted Stock Unit) packages. There are also several other benefits such as being able to enroll in ESPP (Employee Stock Purchase Plan), Cycle to Work scheme / EV purchase scheme, private medical insurance ect.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I am getting experience in lots of different areas which is growing my skillset and understanding of areas I enjoy the most.
How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

I am learning lots of new skills through my day-to-day role which is very broad in scope. Everyone in my team is willing to help each other and we often share new ways we have found to work more efficiently.

How is the support you receive?

My line manager is supportive in helping me shape my own career and his confidence in me has allowed me to be involved in lots of interesting projects. The early careers team at Arm have also been great at organising events throughout the graduate scheme that allow you to meet peers working across different teams and offices around the world. A particular highlight is GGC (Global Graduate Conference) which was a two day event where all the grads from around the world met up in London to meet each other and learn more about Arm.
How is your work-life balance?

Arm's culture encourages a good work life balance. I enjoy working in the Cambridge office which is the company's headquarters. Onsite we have lots of great eating options for breakfast and lunch and there is a well equipped gym which you can use.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Arm has a very good organisational culture that is inclusive and welcoming.
How would you rate Arm initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

I have really enjoyed being apart of the Women @ Arm group who organise social events, inspiring talks and a mentoring scheme that I have found very valuable. Recently I visited Aston Martins F1 headquarters in Silverstone for a Women in Engineering event which was a really cool event!

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Arm?
I would highly recommend applying for an internship at Arm. I did two summer internships while at university and this is what led to me being offered a Graduate role. It was also really nice joining a company that I already knew.
