Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Developing a tool to use historical test results to predict results for tests on the next revision of hardware without needing to run the full suit of tests. On a day-to-day basis this involved programming in Python and using large datasets in SQL to develop models of the data to be used for predictions.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Moderately, there was nothing immediately relying on the success of this project but was still a meaningful piece of work that needed to be completed with care to ensure it could be used by the team in future.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
There could have been more technical help at the beginning of the internship whilst tools were unfamiliar but after that guidance has been excellent. Always able to talk to line manager, technical lead and buddy within the team and everyone else working in the team are more than happy to help out if needed.
