Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I would typically go to the office and spend some time planning hardware changes. I would go on to implement these changes, and do data analysis to quantify improvements and regressions. I would have regular meetings with colleagues globally.
I would say it's a highly collaborative environment and I was always empowered to talk and discuss with anyone.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was responsible for exploring and designing new features that would be put in real products, with help from many colleagues.

Yes, hard skills I developed are to do with hardware design, statistical analysis and programming. Soft skills, I improved time management, communication and more!

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received alot of support, with regular sync ups. Equally, I was free to experiment and it was not overbearing.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Very good. We are offered great freedom to work in any way that suits us. We can work remotely, or go to the office. It is highly collaborative and trusting, and friendly.
