Overall, how would you describe your experience at Arm?
Arm is an amazing company to work for. Even though it is a big company I really feel cared for an we are compensated for our work very well. I enjoy my day to day job and there is always a challenge or problem to solve.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy when I get to solve a design or verification problem and write system verilog. I enjoy working in hardware having rotated into software I know now I prefer hardware. I enjoy working in a team.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Almost immediately from starting my role I was given responsibility which made me feel like a valued member of the team

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

I think it is preparing me very well for a career in semiconductors however this is quite a narrow field.

The support is great. My manager really cares about my career. I also have a buddy which has been really helpful to ask more silly questions to.
How is your work-life balance?

Yes most of the time I have a very good work life balance and do not experience work related stress which is nice.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

The culture is very good and it is nice to be able to work hybrid however I prefer coming into the office.
How would you rate Arm initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

I think they are really trying. As a women in a male dominated field you can tell they are trying to encourage women. I was invited to an international womens day event at silverstone which was a nice celebration of women but also felt quite performative. One event that stood out to me was a talk from the leads in my department who are women. That was really nice as there are very few high up women engineers
How would you rate Arm CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

We are able to do half a day every month of volunteering and they have a lot of events to encourage children into STEM which is important however I think there is a severe lack of sustainability events.

Would you recommend Arm to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I think the company is an extremely nice company to work for as you have a good work life balance. The job is challenging but not too stressful.
