Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Was tasked with undertaking a standalone Intern Project: creating an agentic data scraper.
Day-to-day included programming in C# using Visual Studio, and regular catch-ups with supervisor and buddy. Shadowed several others across a range of roles at LCP Delta.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I had full ownership over my code. Had a chance to review a Pull Request. So I would say so, yes.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

Greatly developed inter-personal skills, and communication skills. Also vastly improved my programming skills, specifically with regards to production-grade code and maintainability.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

There was quite a bit at the start, but this quickly developed into a "ask if you need help". Regular catch-ups were useful for this. But there was also a very relaxed culture, where asking questions was the norm, so it was very easy to do!

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Extremely relaxed and fun! Regular socials, everyone is very friendly. Nothing like what I imagined an office to be like!
