Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?
My experience at Savills has been great so far. Everyone is kind and supportive, it's been a good environment to be immersed in and I have learnt a lot in my first year.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Office Agency
My main responsibilities were doing viewings, replying to property enquiries, sitting in on client meetings & updating enquiring schedules. I enjoyed how many new people I met through my role in office agency, and I liked the pace of this department, with everyday being different.
Investment
My main responsibilities have been to liaise with brochure designers for properties we are launching in the market, to keep on top of the Master stock schedule and Sale/Requirements tracker, to update our stats and to create commentary on the trends we are seeing compared with previous years. The part I enjoy most about this role is seeing how the wider state of the market affects activity within the property industry.

Why?
I would recommend Savills to a friend who was interested in the property industry as I believe from the first day they give you the opportunity to learn and work alongside some of the best in the industry. The rotational aspect of the graduate scheme allows you to pick up a wide array of skills and gives you a deep understand of what different teams do, whilst building a relationships across the office. Savills is a very supportive network with both work and personal things, and it is a lovely place to work.

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Savills?
If someone were to apply to Savills, I would encourage them to be passionate about why exactly it is Savills they have applied for, and what it is about the property industry that interests them. Also, as cliché as it sounds, it is really important to just be yourself and try to show some personality during your interview or the assessment centre. Coming from a non-cognate background (Economics Undergrad), I felt it was more about who I was as a person/ how well I worked under pressure and in a group setting, and if the assessors could see me fitting into the office well, rather than what I knew about property.
