Overview of the Role

Overall, how would you describe your experience at Savills?

My experience at Savills has been very positive. I have had the opportunity to work across a range of departments, gain exposure to different areas of commercial property, and take on increasing responsibility. The support from colleagues and management has helped me develop both technically and professionally, and I have built strong relationships across the business.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

My responsibilities have varied across the Office & Industrial Agency, Property Management and Valuation teams. In Agency, I was involved in marketing properties, undertaking viewings, negotiating lease terms and advising clients on disposals and acquisitions. In Property Management, I managed day-to-day property matters, liaised with tenants and contractors, monitored arrears and service charge expenditure, and helped ensure properties were managed in line with client objectives. In Valuation, I assisted with inspections, comparable evidence research, financial analysis and the preparation of valuation reports for a range of property types.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?

Yes

Why?

I would recommend Savills to a friend because of the variety of experience available, the supportive culture and the opportunities for professional development. The exposure I have gained through different teams has been invaluable and has helped me develop a well-rounded understanding of the property industry.

How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

4/5

When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to Savills?

My advice would be to show enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Savills values people who are genuinely interested in the property industry, but you do not need to know everything from day one. During onboarding, make the most of opportunities to meet colleagues across different teams, as this will help you build your network and gain a broader understanding of the business.
