Population Health and Consumer Behaviour Intern Review

Conducting behavioural research to gather scientific evidence on our expanding smokeless product portfolio. Day-to-day this might involve study document creation, data analysis, project management, stakeholder communication, or participant recruitment.

I was given a lot of responsibility to manage research projects and ensure they run smoothly and to timelines, all to gather evidence that will contribute to our understanding of consumer experience, and subsequent product development and business strategy.

Regularly touchpoints with the dedicated Placement Team, who support placement students each year alongside their day job, of which I was assigned a designated buddy. I was also matched with a mentor from the business, as well as an in-team buddy to eased the transition into the team. Line managers also stay in contact with the student, Placement Team and HR.

Lots of important work going on across the business within a very friendly, sociable atmosphere where everybody wants everybody to succeed. Culture of being 'Stronger Together' is definitely felt at an immediate team level. Healthy Minds Champions actively promote inclusivity.

I really enjoyed my placement, though the shift to corporate life took a while to adjust to, all the support was in place to try and make this as smooth as possible. I have learnt so much and a short space of time, with skills I will take with me.

Yes
