Previous Line manager was fantastic. Current line manager since March 2026, has only given me about 2 hours of support in the last 4 months.

I don't let the pressures of work bother me. I turn up and do my 8 hours, then go home and enjoy my free time.

90% of people at work are great. The office space I work in is good. and 3 day hybrid work week is great. It is only a few people that don't make work a better place.

The company does a lot for this topic, team by team basis it is probably less effective, because if the team leader doesn't care about the team, it makes the day to day feel less inclusive.

Why?
Overall it's a good environment to work in and you can work on some cool things. I do say though that their are a number of non engineering teams that do not have a clear purpose.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?

None whatsoever. I did not know what to expect as you are not told anything when you apply for Integration Engineer. The company just places you in any team that needs a new graduate. I had no idea I would be doing the role I am doing now. This should be made clear on the Job Description if you really want to try and measure it here in this survey. Otherwise it doesn't make sense to ask this question.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Not really, just know a bit about the company, learn to oversell yourself because the competition is high - majority of people are really overselling themselves.
I guess that is down to the lack of good jobs targeting young people (21-24) in the UK anyway.
Have some previous experience in other Jobs or have a masters degree, otherwise forget about it.
