Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I do useful technical work and designing if structures for an ongoing project, as well as reviewing higher level reports and calculations. I help doing project management and framework communication because this is an interest of mine. They really allow you to work in what you are most keen on.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given much more responsibility than expected. This is really helpful for when I graduate as I will not be as nervous.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learnt so many things including 3 new softwares for modeling structures which I will use in the future. I have also improved my communication and organisation as gained experience working in a professional setting. I have also solidified and added to knowledge I have learnt at uni

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was given loads of help and guidance and everyone was always so happy to help me if I was struggling or confused. They were also really happy to leave me to it if I told them I was fine.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Really good and extremely friendly. There is also lots of socials for placements and treads so you can meet everyone and have a work/life balance
