Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Work as an engineering consultant involved daily interactions while working on engineering related projects. This also includes a half-day a week dedicated to university study.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
A lot.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt many new skills, to state a few: modelling (CFAST, Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360), analysing data and learning Matlab

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Quite well structed but in my opinion on the university side seems as if it could be better spread. Works out as being university time is 1 week every month from January to June then full-time work from July to December. The large 6 month gap is my only concern. That and the course being 5.5 years long to fully complete.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
As much as we want, many resources are provided and they are presented to us well.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Since I am not at university as much as I am at the workplace, I cannot comment to full reliability. From what I can tell, the resources seem great but I have not had to use much support yet. In terms of study sessions and aid with learning it seems to be improving at the present moment with more resources being brought out.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
It helps with both practical and theoretical aspects of my job.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
many, especially for early career/new joiners at the company
