I assisted with Planning statements, Planning appraisals and Constraints checks on site. I also got the opportunity to attend a number of in person Public Consultation Events and networking events. I got a broad range of experience on projects across a number of sectors including: Commercial, Residential and Student Accommodation.

Yes, I was given a good amount of responsibility without feeling overwhelmed.

I have learnt a lot throughout my Placement year. I have gained key communication skills, learnt how to professionally comunicate with members of the public and clients as well as learning that each director has a specific way of working and how to adapt my writing to each style to suit preferences.

I have had an incredible amount of support and guidance throughout my Placement. The Planner who has been my immediate supervisor has given me so much support and made me feel confident in all tasks I have completed throughout the year. I have never felt scared to seek guidance from her or worried about asking questions on something I didn't understand.

I have not met anyone at Savills who has not been kind and supportive. Everyone I have met has been willing to share their knowledge and chat whether that is informally in the kitchen or formally through offering further internships. I really do feel the people make Savills and the people this year particularly in the Edinburgh office have made my year so enjoyable.

I have loved my placement. I have seen so much and got exposure to so many things I never thought I would as a placement student. My team have been fantastic and I have genuinely enjoyed the work I have been doing.
