Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The summer vacation scheme consists of two weeks at the London office. The scheme consists of two main things. Firstly, there are talks, panels, and spotlight sessions which provide insights into different practice areas and parts of the firm, as well as general info about the firm and corporate law. On average this probably accounts for two hours a day. The rest of the time is spent at desks with a trainer who assigns you work and tasks to get hands-on experience. You are also encouraged to go for lots of informal coffee chats with people from different parts of the firm to begin to build a network and ask any questions you have. There were also two socials organised during the scheme which were dinner and drinks.
