Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The scheme consisted of a range of insight talks covering different teams within the firm, alongside the opportunity to experience our chosen seat. This combination made the scheme both valuable and beneficial. There was a good balance between independence and guidance, with support available from both the recruitment team and our trainers. Throughout the scheme, we were able to assist with a variety of legal tasks while gaining a better understanding of the type of work undertaken at the firm. There were also numerous opportunities for both organised and informal networking, allowing us to engage with a wide range of people across the firm.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone I spoke to was friendly and approachable, regardless of their position within the firm. The affinity networks were also particularly valuable, providing an opportunity to speak with a range of people about the firm’s approach to inclusivity. These conversations made me feel more comfortable within the firm. Overall, everyone appeared supportive and genuinely wanted us to perform to the best of our abilities. The environment was understandably busy, although this was consistent with what I would expect from a golden circle firm.
