Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Very positive
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
My role involves employing technical expertise, mainly in performing circuit analysis and carrying out electrical simulations, as well as circuit and PCB design.
Document management/cross-checking is essential to keeping track of projects, and while not as enjoyable as the above, is still very important.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I am part of a relatively small team working on a considerable project, and so even as a graduate, I believe I've become a vital member of the team.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

I haven't signed up to many of the perks but I know the options are there if I need it, plus I've heard excellent things about the employee share scheme, which I have signed up to.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Everyone I have spoken to for assistance has always been eager to help. Line managers can sometimes be hard to pin down due to workloads but they'll always point you in the right direction or set you up with someone who can help instead.
How is your work-life balance?

Hybrid working/Flexi-time is very accomodating, I like starting early and finishing early so I can enjoy more of the afternoon. My role allows this.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Hybrid working is very handy, saves me fuel costs and wasted time driving.
Coworkers are extremely friendly, everyone seems very happy to be here. Immediately treated equally amongst the team as well.

Great atmosphere to work in, challenging work, and full support as you progress through your career. Perks/accomodating culture are a bonus too.

The role is different to what I believed I was signing up for, but luckily the scope of the role includes and goes beyond what I imagined it did.
