Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?

Great experience, working on an ever evolving project with a great team that's made me feel at home in my new role.

What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?

Research and investigation into new practices within my project. With some informal development in-between.

To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

Pay is great compared to most graduate role and benefits like pension and share options are amazing.

How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

Definitely, I'm getting a wide verity of experience that's making me a more well rounded engineer.

How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Training is at a good pace, however most of the skills improvement comes from the day to day role which I prefer. Some general training however feels a bit tick boxey at times. Specialized training is great however.

HR and line management is great in my experience. Technical support needs improving though.

How is your work-life balance?

For me it's perfect with the 37 hour weeks and flex time.

What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

I feel that at least within my office that everyone's quiet welcoming and positive. Remote work does exist but at least at are site they prefer working on site at least 3 days.

How would you rate BAE Systems initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

Good, lots of training and groups within the business that support these values.

How would you rate BAE Systems CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

It's very important, climate goals seem tracked a real effort is being put behind reduction in are footprint.
