Manufacture Engineering Graduate Review

So far I've been here for 6 weeks approx. (started June 1st) and the experience has been good. Very much stuck in and been given tasks and projects straight away more or less with varying responsibilities.

Responibilities are predominantly on the shop floor helping keep production flowing, if there's lines down or issues with tools assisting the team members to solve issues and replace defective tools or jigs. Getting more involved in quality issues as well and assisting where I can with those.
Moving my way to manifold side of the factory to help that section to reach the levels of the valve end of the shop.

As mentioned, from day one was part of the team, working with the other members to shadow and help them as well as them help me to get to grips with everything to do with hydraforce.

Perks and benefits aren't very apparent but that doesn't affect the work I do as I'm doing the job for experience and to further my career in Engineering.

The job and people are providing me with experience and knowledge of engineering and workplace environments I haven't experienced before. The area of engineering is far broader that what I'd like to do as a goal career, which is perfect so I can broaden my knowledge and understanding to provide a more well rounded engineering mind.

Support is provided whenever I ask for it from whoever I ask which is fantastic.

Hours are very positive and allow for a very good balance of work and life.

Organisational is good for the scale of staff and operators within the factory/office. The office has a great atmosphere and is enjoyable day to day.

Unsure of any initiatives for myself

Yes

Good group of people to work with across all departments and they provide good opportunities for progression through the business.
Also company wise and client wise the contacts are very good.

Expectations have been met so far which is desirable and shows the recruitment process is true to it's nature.
