Attendee for insight event Review

I was able to gain insight into Willis as a company and all the apprenticeships they offer at different levels. I was able to build a CV and was informed about tips on what to avoid and how to structure it. I was given opportunities to speak to apprentices as Willis and question them on certain aspects of their role and how they find it working at the company.

I got to learn more about the level of apprenticeship they offer and all the different areas that covers such as data analysts, insurance, and more which I had never known before.

I developed better communication and team building skills through working with other people collectively as a group to do tasks provided to us and discussed answers. It helped me improve my networking ability to be able to link with new people who I had never met prior to the event which I found extremely useful.

It was an extremely welcoming atmosphere. The people in charge of the event were very thoughtful to not entirely break comfort zones which I liked and while speaking to apprentices about how the Ipswich office is like, I learned that they were very welcoming and friendly and had a positive atmosphere almost like a family as everyone knew each other which I found surprising.

I enjoyed it quite well as I was able to step out of my comfort zone by asking questions, talking to new people and engage with tasks that I had never done before which were all new stepping stones I found helpful to get a better experience of what life as an apprentice is like.

For the insight event just try to be yourself as many apprentices say when they did the event and eventually applied and were accepted into WTW. Have the confidence to get involved in asking questions to get a better experience and understanding of the business.
