Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The WTW Level Up Programme was a two-day virtual insight focused on WTW’s business areas, culture and early careers opportunities. During the programme, we met colleagues from teams including Corporate Risk & Broking, Insurance Consulting & Technology, Retirement, Work & Rewards and Early Careers.
The day-to-day structure involved team presentations, rotating networking sessions, real-world case study activities, and guidance on personal branding and the recruitment process. It gave me a stronger understanding of how WTW combines analytical thinking, client advisory and risk expertise to solve business problems, while also helping me reflect on where my own interests in economics, data and risk could fit within the firm.

How would you rate the structure of the insight

5/5

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

Understanding the different business areas and potential roles was one of the most valuable parts of the programme. Before attending, I had a general awareness of WTW as a risk, advisory and insurance-focused firm, but the sessions helped me understand how broad the business actually is.
Hearing from teams across Corporate Risk & Broking, Insurance Consulting & Technology, Retirement, Work & Rewards and Early Careers showed me how WTW combines analytical thinking, client advisory and specialist expertise in different ways. It was useful to compare the day-to-day responsibilities, skill sets and career paths across each area, especially as someone interested in economics and risk. The programme helped me think more clearly about where my interests could fit within WTW and what qualities are important for future internship roles.
