Level Up Insight Programme Review

The WTW Insight Programme consisted of two days of sessions from 9am to 3:30pm. On the first day, we developed an understanding of expected workplace behaviours and etiquette, before developing a technical understanding of root cause analysis to systematically isolate and prioritise corporate-based scenarios. Following lunch, we explored the importance of networking and how it can make valuable connections, and then we finished the first day with a quiz about WTW. On day two, we learnt about client excellence, improving our client advisory competencies to deeply understand client needs. We then learnt about the STAR approach and discovered the importance of personal branding. Day two was finished with a mini careers fair, where we gained exposure to multiple lines of business.

It was extremely insightful learning about the business and potential roles available. I learnt that WTW is split into two main segments: health, wealth and career, and risk and broking. We gained exposure to multiple LOBs including Corporate Risk and Broking, Insurance Consulting and Technology, and Retirement.

I have definitely learnt new skills as well as developing existing skills. I was able to develop a technical understanding of root cause analysis to systematically isolate and prioritise corporate-based scenarios. Moreover, my networking skills have certainly improved. The programme further improved my client advisory competencies to deeply understand client needs and build stakeholder trust.

The company culture was positive and friendly, with everyone being made to feel welcome.

I really enjoyed the insight. Before the programme, I did not know a lot about risk management and insurance, but the insight helped me gain exposure to multiple LOBs in the industry. Also, it was really interested to hear and speak to people in the industry and also network with peers.
