Highly engaging with challenging work.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Primary job role is document verification and internal query resolver. I enjoy learning about the complexities of the project I am working on
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

I am being provided real tasks however they are overseen and not completely independent. This makes it partly feel like some of my work is not needed / pointless as other people are also completing the same tasks, however this is only some of my work.
How does your compensation package - including perks & benefits - fairly remunerate you for the work you do?

There are benefits available to the whole company such as a good pensions matching scheme and end of year bonuses based on performance of the company. There is no opportunity for individual raises for stellar performance.
How well do you feel the role is preparing you for your future career?

How would you rate the extent to which you were developing new or existing skills through formal training and your day-to-day role?

Training is available and provided when needed. The information and skills I learn day to day is significantly increasing my knowledge in the field on how electrical systems operate in a much finer grain.

I am able to leave work early in the afternoons to dodge traffic and continue from home.

Very open, it is encouraged to ask questions to build your own knowledge and everyone is friendly and approachable.

There are opportunities for everyone with varying backgrounds as long as you can achieve UK Security Clearance. Once apart of the company there are many opportunities to do varying different work, volunteering and community outreach.

Why?
It is a fantastic career starter which provides plenty of opportunities to grow within the company or to pivot away. They support charterships and encourage learning opportunities.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
4/5
I utilise my degree and work on complex issues, however the role was presented slightly differently to the work I am completing.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Be interested. If you aren't interested someone else that is will get the position. Be confident and try have a conversation with interviewers appose to it being a one sided interrogation.
