Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I worked as an Industrial Placement student in the Global Personal Care Quality team. My role involved analysing global data to produce monthly performance scorecards, tracking compliance against product quality standards across multiple categories. I supported the UBS programme by maintaining trackers, updating PQS data, and identifying key performance gaps. I also collaborated with stakeholders across regions and contributed to global performance calls by sharing insights and supporting improvement actions.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given significant responsibility. I owned the delivery of monthly global scorecards and presented insights to stakeholders, including senior leaders. I managed key trackers, ensured data accuracy, and contributed to improving reporting processes. I was trusted to work independently while engaging with cross-functional teams globally.
