I would support my team managing and leading on projects, manage the brand marketing investment budget and assisting with design for new packs and artwork

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

Would have weekly check in calls with my team, support was always there when you asked for it but I do think I could have taken advantage of it more

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It was a nice company. I didn't really feel like I overly fit in a lot of it was my own fault, but I always felt like I didn't belong or that I wasn't good enough to be there. I don't know if that was mostly from me or partly because of the company, they were really good at recognising achievement and growth

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed parts of it and I have learnt skills that I will take with me for the rest of my career. People where nice but I never really felt part of a team and I don't really blame the team I blame myself. I did find it quite difficult to fit in and would often eat lunch by myself and struggle to chat to people. I do have a diagnosis of ASD and I don't think a lot was done to support that

Yes

What advice would you give to others applying to Unilever

Take advantage of everything, make connections, you only get out what you put in. If you don't put in much you won't get much out, if you put in a lot you can get so much out of it
