Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Running batches in pilot plant or making batches in the lab. Carrying out analysis after these trials and analysing data. Creating presentations and summaries. Improving organisation in designated areas. Assisting in training of new team members.

Responsibility in ensuring safety throughout all tasks and in making sure I provide accurate results.

Plenty of support, manager was involved with all my projects and everyone else in my team and in other teams relevant to my work was open to providing help if I asked.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Everyone very kind and open to helping. I was not rushed into anything before I was ready but I was pushed appropriately later into my placement

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have really enjoyed my placement, I have gained and improved plenty of skills and was able to alongside lots of kind, helpful people. I have particularly enjoyed finally getting to use my skills developed in education in a real work setting.
