Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
CGA involves both internal and external communication where you manage relationships with stakeholders. The role often involves creating content (such as newsletters, briefings, and social media posts), supporting campaigns, helping organise events or announcements and supporting external relationships. Overall, it’s a varied role that combines communication skills, research, and an understanding of how business and policy intersect.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I had opportunity to lead my own projects later in my placement. My manager provided me with great support and autonomy during my placement.

This has been an incredible year with so many learning opportunities. Networking is great at GSK, you have wide exposure to people from different countries, roles and experiences. Highly recommend this placement.

Key is to be yourself and know what goals you are pursuing. Be confident in your experience and what you can bring to the table. Also, learn more about the company and its culture. This is important to make sure that you align on companies priorities and become a teams player.
