Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Organising events (booking internal venues, creating guest lists, agency briefings)
Internal communications (company wide, regional, targeted) on email and Viva Engage
Video production - working with senior stakeholders to convert complex or inspiring topics into digestable video content.
Production operations such as booking studios, being on site contact, attending external venues.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes. In months 1-6 I was given supporting roles on projects, but were still my full responsibility. As my confidence and skills built, I was given leadership roles in months 7-12.
Level of responsibility is dependant on the quality of output you produce.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

For the first 2 months it was limited due to team restructuring and not having a manager, but the company wide onboarding was useful. Following the first 2 months the support from my manager and team was good. Guidance was shared as and when required and you could always ask questions.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The people are lovely, but as time progresses I felt the company is becoming distanced from it's roots. Sustainability is less of a focus, and things like purpose workshops, staff training and hybrid working and being de-prioristised.
