Insight Student Review

The day was extremely valuable in providing an insight into the wider company culture and what spending a day-to-day would look like with them. We were given a talk surrounding the market which gave insight into the current trends and challenges within the real estate. We also heard from current graduates who spoke about their roles and what they get up to on a day-to-day basis. It was particularly interesting to hear how passionate they were about the company and the opportunities available to them, which gave a genuine perspective on working at Savills. The networking event was especially useful, as it allowed me to speak with employees across different areas of the business, ask questions, and develop a better understanding of the skills and qualities valued at Savills.

We were advised on ways to stand out on our CV and how to differentiate ourselves from other candidates when applying for different roles. I found this really beneficial. To add to this, listening to the graduates speak about their roles was also really insightful and gave a better understanding about their day-to-days

I definitely think the day improved my communication skills by speaking to other candidates, as well as employees from different areas of the business. The networking session helped me become more confident asking questions and engaging in professional conversations. I also improved my commercial awareness through the market review session, where I learnt more about current trends and factors affecting the property industry

The company culture at Savills is very welcoming. Everyone I spoke to was approachable and genuinely enthusiastic about their work, which created a positive atmosphere. The graduates in particular spoke highly of the support they receive and the opportunities available to develop within the company. I also think it was clear the company value and thrive off of teamwork and good communication

I really enjoyed the insight day at Savills, I felt it gave me a realistic impression of the working environment within the company and the extent to which they adhere to their company values. The day was also extremely informative and definitely confirmed my passions to strive towards obtaining a job with Savills. I also think the providing of refreshments was a nice touch and meant that we were able to engage more with our peers.

I would definitely recommend Savills as a company that sticks to its values and creates a supportive working environment. Everyone I spoke to from the company was passionate and genuinely invested within their work, which i think adds to this collaborative working environment. In terms of advice I would definitely say to have research the market so you can engage confidently within discussions and show passion and knowledge for the role in which you will be applying for
