I really enjoyed the Insight Day and found it very informative and engaging. I especially loved hearing from the graduates who came in and shared their different stories and experiences, as it gave a real insight into the different career paths at Savills. The networking session at the end was also really valuable, as it gave me the opportunity to speak to people directly and learn more about their experiences. Overall, the day made me even more passionate about wanting to work for Savills in the future.

Understanding more about the business and the range of roles available was really interesting and valuable. I was surprised by how many more options and career paths there were than I first expected, and it was interesting to see how all the different parts of the business work together. It gave me a much clearer insight into the variety of opportunities available at Savills and made me even more excited about the possibility of working there in the future.

I feel like I developed my confidence and networking skills throughout the day, especially during the opportunity to speak with graduates and employees directly. I also gained a much better understanding of how to make my CV and future applications stand out, particularly for next year’s opportunities. It was really valuable hearing firsthand what Savills genuinely looks for in candidates, from commercial awareness to personality and enthusiasm, which gave me a clearer idea of how I can continue to improve and prepare going forward.

The company culture and overall atmosphere felt excellent from the moment the day started. Everyone was very welcoming and made it feel comfortable from the get-go, which created a really positive environment throughout the whole day. The culture came across amazingly in every aspect, especially through the people I spoke to and during the diversity and inclusion talk. You could genuinely tell that culture is something that is very important to Savills, and it made the company feel like somewhere I would really want to be a part of in the future.

It was slightly bittersweet not receiving an internship this summer, but attending the day has made me even more determined to continue developing my skills and apply again in the future. The experience reinforced how much I would love the opportunity to work at Savills one day.

My main advice would be to genuinely be yourself throughout the application process and make sure your personality comes across. When writing your CV and applications, really sell yourself and your experiences confidently rather than trying to write what you think they want to hear. I also think it’s important not to rely too heavily on AI, as authenticity stands out much more and helps show who you really are as a person.
