Overall, how would you describe your experience at BAE Systems?
Overall it has been a valuable experience so far. I have learned a lot, and have much more to learn.
What are the main responsibilities of the role and which elements of the role do you enjoy the most?
Having the chance to communicate my ideas, and to express my abilities in technical projects.
To what extent does your role give you the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and feel valued by your team?

The formal training is often general to the business, such as health and safety in varying workplaces. While important, they have limited impact on my specific role and necessary skills developments.

Flexi-time gives me the flexibility to adjust my work hours to some degree, and even to request additional time off if needed. This helps a lot.
What is the organisational culture, values and general atmosphere like?

Overall the company make it clear that advancement and career progression are in our hands. The business values are such that you can ask almost anyone for help and you will find some kind of support.
How would you rate BAE Systems initiatives when it comes to equality, diversity, inclusion and accessibility?

I have thus far seen no evidence of any kind of discrimination. The diversity within the business seems about as one might expect. There is room for more diversity of course, but there is more diversity here than might be expected of a large organisation.
How would you rate BAE Systems CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives?

The business is committed to various initiatives related to community outreach and supporting the armed forces through events.

Why?
BAE is a place where you can get involved in interesting and important projects. Career progression is limited only by your own work ethic, attitude and willingness to work and get involved.
How well did the role match your expectations based on the recruitment process?
5/5
I am giving 5 because it matched better than I could have hoped. There is an element of luck involved in that process, but the business is large enough that, even if your entry role is not fully aligned, there will be future opportunity for you to change roles after the program.
When considering the recruitment & onboarding process, have you any specific tips or advice you would give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Be prepared for high standards when being interviewed. Be prepared, and above all, be your authentic self and show the recruiters who you are and what you can offer.
