Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Year split between two 6-month roles in support engineering and aerodynamics.
Daily responsibilities included engineering documentation, aerodynamic analysis, maintaining a job log, reporting work and findings in meetings throughout the week

Given a fair amount of responsibility depending on the importance of the work. I was able to take ownership of a number of tasks with support from others

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
Plenty of support was given to me when asked for. In my experience, unless I asked for help most of the time I would be left to complete the work in my own time which was nice.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company atmosphere was fairly laid back and calm. The people weren't obsessed with outcomes from me and were invested in improving my understanding and learning.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed my placement both inside and outside of work. The scale of the company meant that there were many other placement students alongside me which I formed good friendships with.
